My research is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature, blending sociology, political science, and religious studies. My main current areas of study concern the following fields:
- The ideological hybridization and evolution of terrorist and extremist threats (such as militant accelerationism, nihilistic violent extremism, etc.)
- Conspiracism, spirituality and regimes of truth
- Polarization, radicalization, political violence, and the institutionalization of far-right ecosystems
- Political and religious social movements, particularly in the United States (such as the Christian Right, The Satanic Temple, etc.)
I have also supervised around twenty students on topics related to these research areas.
